Founder

George Cannon brings over two decades of experience across investment banking, private capital, and operating leadership in entrepreneurial technology and industrial businesses.

Over the course of his career, he has advised on and led more than $2 billion in mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, and debt and equity financings.

He has held Managing Director–level roles in investment banking and merchant banking, advising public and private companies, family offices, and institutional investors. He has led complex transactions across sectors including industrials, aviation finance, building products, digital media, and specialty manufacturing.

In addition to his capital markets experience, George has founded and scaled operating businesses.

He has built and led companies in architectural building products, raised and structured equity and debt financings, partnered with boards on restructuring initiatives, and managed cross-border operations in the United States, Europe and Asia.

This combination of transaction leadership and operating experience informs the work of Mendham Advisory. George understands not only how deals are structured, but how governance dynamics, partner incentives, and real-world operational pressures influence outcomes.

He founded Mendham Advisory to provide the kind of independent, stakeholder-focused guidance he wished existed earlier in his own career — counsel that is financially rigorous, situationally aware, and aligned solely with the individual equity holder.

George holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
